For most of us, 2021 was a transition towards normalcy due to the Covid vaccine rollout, but many continue to face challenges to access essential healthcare services.
This past month, IMANA’s Disaster Relief Campaign highlighted our response efforts during natural and climate-induced disasters, armed conflicts and addressed the needs of those impacted as they move to safety and resettlement.
Please join us in honoring and celebrating Dr. Ghaus M. Malik for receiving the Distinguished Alumni Award by the Henry Ford Alumni Association in Detroit. Dr. Malik, an Executive Vice-President at the Dept. of Neurosurgery at Henry Ford Health System, received this award in recognition of his exemplary career achievements, commitment to service, and contributions to advance the practice of medicine.
Over the past several years, IMANA has hosted an Observership Program for senior medical students from Alfaisal University – College of Medicine to familiarize them with the practice of medicine in a U.S. clinical setting.
After an overwhelmingly positive response to IMANA’s Annual Convention resuming in July 2022, we’re now accepting registrations!

More than 30 percent of the population under the age of 10 in Palestinian territories is susceptible to various eye diseases. IMANA has launched a vision care project to provide free surgical procedures and comprehensive ophthalmic examinations to children in the Gaza strip.
Earlier this week, our six-member volunteer team headed to Swat Valley as part of the ServePakistan medical mission and successfully provided medical care to over 2,000 patients in the rural community. We are proud of our volunteers for their hard work during the pandemic…

LOMBARD, Ill. — The Islamic Medical Association of North America (IMANA) today opens its first permanent office in the DMV area, paving the way for new opportunities and partnerships between local medical organizations and physicians. Located in Fairfax, Virginia, the organization will use the space to expand its relief and advocacy efforts across the D.C. metro region.
