AssalamuAlaykum (Greetings of Peace),

For most of us, 2021 was a transition towards normalcy due to the Covid vaccine rollout, but many continue to face challenges to access essential healthcare services. Even when a crisis is not making headlines, IMANA Medical Relief has actively addressed the wide gaps in the availability of healthcare with critical relief work in logistically-challenging areas.

One of IMR’s major accomplishments has been its ability to quickly and effectively respond to healthcare needs after natural disasters. The journey of becoming a globally-recognized medical relief organization started in 2004, when we responded with immediate disaster relief efforts after the tsunami in Indonesia, earthquakes in Pakistan and Haiti in 2005, and floods in Pakistan in 2010; known as the ‘Mega 4’ natural calamities by UN relief agencies.
These cataclysmic events shaped IMR, and since then, we’ve responded to over 20 natural disasters of varying degrees with life-saving aid and humanitarian assistance. But for this work to continue, we need your generous support to strengthen and maintain the resources we need at times of such crises

Sincerely,

Dr. Ismail Mehr
