Beginning this week, IMANA will be incorporating articles written by leading scholars in medicine to encourage a deep connection with the contributions of Muslims in the field. This week’s article explores the father of modern surgery, Abul Qasim ibn al-Abbas AlZahrawi, known as AlZahrawi. He was an Arab Muslim Physician who lived in Al-Andalus in The Islamic Golden Age. Writer and Historian, Sami Khalaf Hamarneh’s article is definitely worth the read.
