Volunteer - ServeYemen
The years long conflict and civil strife in Yemen has caused severe humanitarian and health crises in the country, resulting in an acute shortage of medicines and supplies in its hospitals and clinics, causing untold misery to the common man. In 2018, IMANA, procured and delivered medicines and supplies worth over $70 million to fulfill this need, which were distributed to hospitals and healthcare centers in Aden, Sabah and Taz.
As a consequence of the instability and insecurity, a large number of internally displaced people live in refugee camps, suffering from malnutrition and without access to any form of healthcare. Since November 2019, five IMR volunteer teams have traveled to Aden and provided 4,333 vulnerable patients with free primary healthcare services, and medicines.
