IMANA Responds to Hurricane Helene and Prepares for Hurricane Milton Relief
In response to the devastation caused by Hurricane Helene in North Carolina, IMANA has partnered with Zakat Foundation to bring immediate relief to those affected, by contributing $50,000 to support the victims with medicines, medical supplies as well as humanitarian supplies like food, water, and hygiene items. This partnership ensures that critical aid reaches those in need, restoring hope and providing relief in the wake of the storm.As we respond to Hurricane Helene, IMANA is also preparing for the imminent arrival of Hurricane Milton, a rare Category 5 storm predicted to cause catastrophic damage in Florida. IMANA is readying efforts to procure and distribute essential medical supplies and humanitarian aid to support the victims of this impending disaster.Your contribution can make a real difference. 💙Partnered with FEMA by providing support teams to the U.S. Virgin Islands
Department of Health for their Covid-19 response
❤️Distributed 50,000 KN-95 masks to 26 hospitals in 7 states
💙Eased the strain on hundreds of families dealing with $1.5 million-worth of medical debts and monthly premiums on health insurance plans
❤️Conducted medical relief missions after the hurricane in Puerto Rico; 11 physician volunteers were dispatched and over 3000 patients were treated. Additionally, 600 food packages were also distributed
💙Contributed humanitarian relief supplies following hurricanes and wildfires in New Orleans, Texas, Louisiana, North Carolina, Florida, and California
❤️Provided funds for outreach efforts for HIV and mental health counseling services among Muslim youth. Supported the ISNA StopHunger campaign
💙Financially supported psychiatric and psychological counseling services for victims/families of the Sandy Hook Elementary School tragedy
