UMR and IMANA SaveRohingya Benefit Dinner in Charlotte, North Carolina!

On Saturday February 24, 2018, United Muslim Relief (UMR) and Islamic Medical Association of North America (IMANA) once again came together to raise awareness for the needy people in Rohingya. The event was held in Charlotte, North Carolina at the Islamic Society of Greater Charlotte. Our four speakers, Sheikh Yasir Birjas, Hamza Abdullah (former NFL player), Dr. Abdulhakim Mohamed (motivational speaker), and SaveRohingya volunteer, Dr. Salim Saiyed; shared their thoughts and opinions of the crisis in Mynammar.

The turnout of the fundraising event was great. One hundred people showed up and raised twenty four thousand dollars to help the people in Rohingya. All four speakers engaged with the audience, and motivated everyone to give back to help save lives. IMANA likes to thank all four speakers who participated, and we are truly grateful for all the people who attended.
