In 2019, IMANA made a $15,000 grant to financially assist deserving patients who need cancer diagnosis and treatment. Over 270 patients have benefited from the program, with prostrate screenings, mammograms, CT scans, pap smears and chemo plus brachytherapy.

Earlier, we partnered with Cancer Institute of Guyana (CIG), in Georgetown, Guyana and pledged $50,000 toward program support and procurement of advanced oncology equipment to establish a state-of-the-art cancer treatment center. This center provides screening, treatment and support for cancer patients. By improving the technology available, cancer patients benefit from a more targeted and aggressive approach to stop cancers from growing.
