IMANA Donates Lifesaving Tool to Chicago-Area Mosque
IMANA donated an AED kit plus related training to the ICNA Center of Oakbrook Terrace, as announced at the center’s annual dinner on Saturday, December 8. This donation, valued at $3,000, is a tool used to help those experiencing sudden cardiac arrest, which is among the leading causes of death in the U.S. Currently, the only way to restore a regular heart rhythm during cardiac arrest is to use an AED, which analyzes the heart’s rhythm and, if necessary, delivers an electric shock to help the heart re-establish an effective rhythm.
