“If you’re reading this, in all likelihood you live in a place of relative peace, safety and predictability. The Rohingya people have lived without these for far too long. I was in the world’s largest Rohingya refugee settlement in Cox’s Bazaar, Bangladesh with IMANA to care for a continuous influx of patients in need of critical medical aid. The Rohingya refugees have nothing except the haunting stories of struggle and atrocities they endured, and continue to live in adverse conditions. What kept me going during this week-long medical mission was witnessing the resilience and spirit of children no matter their circumstances, SubhanaAllah they were all smiles and giggles after receiving the necessary medical care and attention to their needs”
