IMANA Board Member Dr. Ismail Mehr, Managing Director Akrama Hashmi, and IMANA Medical Relief (IMR) Coordinator Zahid Mahmood participated in a meeting between top leaders of Muslim-American NGOs this week hosted by the Zakat Foundation. The purpose of this coalition is to seek an established and flourishing Muslim charitable sector where all organizations receive fair treatment. Our IMANA representatives were honored to be in attendance and participate in the dialogue around this topic.
IMANA invites Muslim Radiologists for RSNA networking dinner at Khan BBQ in Chicago. The purpose of the meeting is to provide a forum for Muslim Radiologists to collaborate on various clinical and research endeavors, to update on radiology related IMR Relief projects, and most importantly to provide an opportunity to network with radiologists here in North America and abroad.
IMANA members and medical students Rafil Ali and Muzzam Farooq left this week to participate in the 11th annual FIMA Umrah for medical students. Organized by the Islamic Medical Association in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (IMAKSA) – World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY) in collaboration with the Federation of Islamic Medical Associations (FIMA) and its members, the trip started by Madinah on November 16 and the group will make Umrah Ihram by Monday, November 19.
